Users who downvote should be requested to leave a comment so that the poster understands why and to discourage people from just doing systematic down votes.

There's probably not one singl person in this community who wants to see EVERYTHING that flows through here on a daily basis. It would be great if people could set their personal preferences via tags and keywords, so only relevant links would show up in their personalized content stream.

Users should be able to earn points for doing things around the site (votes, comments, etc). Maybe these points could be used to win things like t-shirts, books, etc.

Get rid of the website hover preview when mousing over the website thumbnail. It's extremely annoying.

Unbeknownst to me, I cannot attach my OpenID to my account by signing in with my OpenID, then typing my username and password. (Instead, I must use my username and password to log in, then type in my OpenID.)

So now, I have a useless new account with my OpenID, which my existing registered account cannot claim. Is there a way to delete this, so I can attach my OpenID to my registered account?

We have tags for Microsoft and all of their various languages and platforms. We don't have any tagging whatsoever for Google, or Android, a platform. A little bias?

Flex is rapidly being adopted and used by software companies and developers all over the place. It would be nice for DZone to have an area with content geared towards Flex.

This gives anyone the ability to import what they're doing on other social sites like facebook or on their wordpress blog via lifestream. But I would like to filter my mini feed, for example only give me a list of posts I've upvoted. This is also handy if you want to follow a fellow user and see what they're up to.

Why can't your page scroll with the standard keyboard page up and page down buttons? This stupid never ending page bit of ajax masterbation is totally frustrating. It forces you to use the mouse to scroll, and the farther down you go, the smaller the clickable area gets on the scroll bar. I hate it. Dump it and have a normal page that lets you navigate with the keyboard.

limit the number of post from a user in one hour to one or two.
